  • 0.25 tsp (0.5g) of black pepper
  • 2 medium (30g total) seeded and sliced long hot green peppers (jalapeños)
  • 6 cups (1.4 liters) of water
  • 0.25 tsp (1.5g) of Salt

Notes

  • If you would like to use canned chickpeas, keep in mind that while cooking them takes less time, you would need to clean them well.
  • If you prefer, you can exchange the chickpeas with dried yellow peas.
  • In order to used dried chickpeas, it’s best to soak them for 1 day minimum to get them to become sufficiently tender and soft before starting to cook.
